I'd say let someone at a salon do it, they may have the materials to straighten your hair and keep it healthy. I got a perm in May and I love curly hair but sometimes I want a change and straighten it. As long as you're not straightening everyday, then no.

Try to use some of Sun Silks straightening serum for extra support so your hair doesn't get dry or damaged. You need to allow the Perm to run out usually after about 6 weeks. If, you try straighting it now, it will break off.

I would not do either, just allow it to grow naturally use a good shampoo and conditioner. I'm guessing that you can perm it again after straighening it. Then if you perm it again you have one. I am sure it is fine, i mean you still have your hair and it looks good.

Of course it's ok to, because it's your choice.
