How does shadowfever end

In an epic battle between humans and Fae, the hunter becomes the hunted when the Sinsar Dubh turns on Mac, and begins mowing a deadly path through those she loves. Who can she turn to? Who can she trust? Who is the woman that haunts her dreams? More importantly, who is Mac and what is the destiny she glimpses in the black and crimson designs of an ancient tarot card? From the luxury of the Lord Master's penthouse, to the sordid depths of an Unseelie nightclub, from the erotic bed of her lover, to the terrifying bed of the Unseelie King, Mac's journey will force her to face the truth of her exile, and make a choice that will either save the world Enormous kudos!

Moning, much like Mac, takes her story and runs with it, balls to the wall, pages to its uncompromising and satisfying conclusion. I was left emotionally spent and completely happy with the many unexpected paths this story took. I do hope she gives us more answers and I think she will, at least in regards to Dani and Christian. But I think the ending for Mac and Barrons fit with their personalities. If they were too mushy it wouldn't have fit, in their own ways they told each other that they love each other and they'll always be together.

And I'm happy if they're happy! Jan 21, PM. I was satisfied with the ending Normally I'd have a problem accepting that the male lead never actually said "I love you" to the heroine. But I honestly believe it would have been very strange to hear Barrons says those words. I would have liked a little more information about Barrons' beast and comp. Overall, Shadowfever is what I've been waiting for. Epic and loved it! Jan 22, PM. I am ok with the ending. I agree with another person that Mac and Barron's could have been too mushy if things were different….

I think that this book kinda closed a chapter on mac and barrons, and the spin off series will continue the world and continue to answer questions, so, now I can't wait for the spin off. Meredith Barrons wrote: "I keep wondering what Barrons was before he was cursed? The child's mother would more than likely have been Barron's wife, but she would have died.

I'm curious as to why Barrons and his men were cursed and if it was geared specifically towards them, or was it wrong place wrong time? I would like to know what they even did. XXX men and a boy in a desert? I loved the book but I felt confused by the ending it seemed like there were two differnt things Did the book put it self in Mac?

Or was it placed there by the king - because he seemed to call her his child. So when are these other books coming out? I feel like we will get more answers about Barrons when we have Ryoden;s book.

With my our luck it will be out in the next 5 years and I will forget my own name by then. Gwen wrote: "I loved the book but Or was it placed there by the king - because he seemed to call Mariya, I am sure they won't be out for awhile. KMM takes a while to write which shows in her product! I would guess Jan 23, AM. I'm happy with how it ended though I had a hard time imagining Barrons bbqing - too domestic.

Even though it took awhile for Barrons and Mac to finally hook up, I don't think the book would have been as good with out the sexual tension between them. We needed to see them fight it out. I'm glad most all questions were answered and look forward to her spin offs. There's definitely enough characters in the Fever world. Jan 24, PM. I was pretty happy with the ending although I also thought Barrons barbequeing seemed a bit odd.

I am very curious about their future and what happens when Mac ages and he does not. That seems like a pretty big deal to me. Strange to not have found out about what really caused Barrons and the other guys to have this affliction of not being able to die. I don't think Mac will age either. That is why she healed when Barrons' son tore her throat out. Disturb you like you disturbed me, make you see me, make you want me— pink me! Out of all the books so far, this book had the most twists and turns plot-wise that a pretty both statement considering the rest of the books are insanely amazing.

At all. Most of my burning questions were answered in this book: What is Barrons? Can Mac trust Barrons? Barrons has a poker face. He rarely loses the careful mask that he puts on display for the world to see.

He is calm, cool, calculating, exceedingly brilliant, and self-possessed. He is cultured and controlled. He is Jericho Barrons and he gets what he wants. But Mac waltzed into his bookstore and shattered his existence and his careful plans. She teaches him to trust, tests his patience, and reminds him how to love and be loved. Only a catastrophic act of nature or a dam has any chance of stopping it—and then usually only succeeds in diverting it. Both measures are extreme and change the terrain so much you end up wondering why you bothered.

Only way to survive is to devise new ways to map out your life. This series has an unconventional romance in it. What I mean when I say that is that it is hard to even call it a romance. I so wish this had been a far more satisfying read for you.

I know how much you enjoyed those books and really wish this had been a better one for you. I haven't read this series, so dived into your review. Fantastic review I'd heard about how nasty things would happen to Mac and she would gain more powers Sorry it didn't work for you though :.

I've skipped everything, every comment, I just wanted to see the grade I mean, I'm not crazy over the series, to be honest the first book wasn't such a big deal, but I confess, I kept going because of Barrons lol, he is intriguing. Now I'm reading mostly because I want to know how it ends. When I finish the book I'll come back to read everything lol ;.

Leslie, there ARE spoilers in this review! Glad you skipped it then. I still have all my notes too. I had such fun gathering those. I'm sad this didn't work out for me too I loved parts of it. You know that. I enjoyed the beginning, and then Reny, I was lucky mayber smart!

I bought this book for my Kindle with a Gift Certificate. So, no real loss for me. A month is a long time to wait! I don't know what to tell you, except that it didn't work for me. But, I would definitely love to read your thoughts once you're done with this series. I have the first book and debating if I should read that book plus the rest of them.

Glad to get a different perspective and different grading on the book! All the As and plus' gets to me What a bummer. I am really debating about reading the book at all at this point. Like you, I was thoroughly under the impression that the series would be wrapped up within the five books - not left hanging so much.

I do believe that this was one thing that was mentioned by Moning earlier on in the series, that things would get wrapped up, that we'd get all the answers, etc. If she can't stick to that, I think my reading of her work is at an end. Tabs, who knows you might like it? I'm glad you enjoyed a different perspective on this book. I always enjoy reading different POVs too. You know I had a few hopes till the end, but it didn't work out for me.
