Sylux is known to consider himself a sworn enemy of Samus Aran and the Galactic Federation. It truly hates Samus Aran and the Galactic Federation. During the opening scene of the game, you can see the hunter kill three Galactic Federation troopers for some unknown reason. The ship that it rides on is known as the Delano 7. Like every other hunter in the video game, Sylux also has an alternate form, the Lockjaw. This form allows it to place traps that can heavily damage its opponents when a triangle of bombs is formed around the opponent.
Its weapon of choice, the Shock Coil, not only damages the enemy greatly, but the damage is drained and replenishes Sylux's health. It possesses no charge attack. While not confirmed, it is thought that Sylux is probably a human. As it turns out, that ship belongs to Sylux. The multiplayer game ends with the Federation securing a Metroid egg.
All seems well until Sylux makes a shocking return at the tail end, breaking into the base and hatching the egg with a laser. We've done a story based on the Hunters, and this time around we're doing a story on the Galactic Federation.
I would like to cross the two over in the future. So for fans who are waiting patiently for the next bit of information on the game, consider revisiting a few oldies to start piecing your own Sylux fan theories together. Giovanni Colantonio. Because he was Adam Malkovich's brother, there's a chance that he would have access to high end secrets, intelligence, technology and weaponry hidden within the Federation's vaults.
Such knowledge would range from experimental armor, experimental weaponry, and the experimental ship. So with this knowledge, access and hatred I believe it's safe to say that he would steal these things and utilize them in his attempt to kill Samus Aran and bring an end to the Galactic Federation. And because Ian Malkovich is clearly proficient with technology, considering how out of everybody he was the one sent out to fix the ship's drive unit.
Because of that proficiency I also feel that it's safe to say that he would know how to use some of if not all of that technology. And because it's Ian Malkovich, it's more than likely that he would know how to access the Federation's mission logs, break into a Federation base, be able to open a Galactic Federation security door, and be able to open a Metroid stasis pod very easily. Ian Malkovich has done these things before. He has worked for the Galactic Federation, and he has acted as a technician for them most of his life.
If you read all of this I'd like to say thank you, and I'd like to possibly ask for some other opinions on the matter? Is there anything I left out? Any other characters who could fit this role? Anything that might even contradict something that I've said?
Please leave your own opinions down below. Love the theory hope it's revealed to be true in the next metroid game cause we know it has sylux in it.
What if it's the KG the Deleter? After killing other members of the federation, he felt so much regret that manifested itself into pure rage, so he stole a ton of Galactic Federation tech, and went after Samus, hoping killing her would give him some psychological closure.
Ian having practically died during the explosion makes sense, leaving him needing heavy cybernetic repairs, hence why Sylux resembles federation AI rather than soldiers. People take this Sylux thing way overboard. He's just a generic character that came from the black sheep of the series. Yah, they show him in some other games, but that doesn't mean they're gonna use him. It's a cool idea, but he's way too cliche. Much like in football an average quarterback can be converted into an excellent wide receiver.
